On Thursday 30th September the whole school gathered to celebrate the Harvest Festival!  We enjoyed singing songs such as ‘A picture or Autumn’ and ‘Big, Red, Combine Harvester’ to celebrate this time of year.  Squirrel Class took us on a journey through song of how food like runner beans begin as a tiny seed and end up on our plates to eat! Next, Hedgehog class taught us all about Harvest time in Victorian times.  Finally, Otter class shared a poem which reminded us what why we should share ‘our harvest’.  The whole school brought in tins to donate to the Fair Frome Food Bank.  Our challenge was to spell the word ‘HARVEST’ as many times as we could using the tins!  Mrs Baxter explained why it was important we shared our food with the Food Bank and thanked everyone for their valuable contributions.
