Such a fantastic achievement.
A big thank you to the children and staff for a fabulous year of learning, implementing and sharing ways to improve our environment and look after our world into the future. Everyone has learnt so much and it was lovely to have the spring sunshine so that work could be shared outside with families and the wider community.
With a focus on helping our marine environment, each class took a different aspect of this exciting project.
Whilst our youngest pupils learnt about the abundance of sea life and the importance of not using single use bottles and straws, our Year 1 and Year 2 pupils planned and ran a plastic free Christmas party for the whole school!
Meanwhile, our oldest pupils investigated the importance of sustainable fishing and researched where fish in our school meals was sourced.
Eco Warriors now and into the future… Nunney School, you are fantastic!
As we move into terms 5 and 6 we are now involved in work relating to biodiversity and our school grounds. Exciting times!
